Congratulations Mom!!!

I talked to my sister tonight and she said that my Mom won at church today for the oldest Mom in attendance. Mom is 86 years old and still going strong. She still drives, takes care of her home and cooks. I hope I am doing that well at 86!

Mom also won for the Mother who has been married the longest. She and my Dad will celebrate 68 years of marriage this fall. Isn't that great?

As I stated in my last post, I am so proud of my Mom! She is the greatest, and has been such a great example and inspiration to me. Congratulations Mom and I love you!

I hope all of you had a nice Mother's Day, doing exactly what you wanted to do and spending it with those you love.

Love & blessings,
Melinda

  12. Congratulations to your mom! We do those giveaways at our church as well..it was funny, the "oldest" moms didn't really want to stand up at first:) Guess it really doesn't matter what age you are! The oldest mom at our church will be 95 in two weeks!! And I think she has more energy than I do - she is incredible!

And what a blessing long marriages are...such an encouragement to the rest of us! Give your mom an extra hug for us:)

Hope your Sunday was special as well! Have a great week, friend.

We recognize the youngest, oldest & the one with the most children at our church.
I missed seeing that this year because I went to church with Kristen.

    What a blessing!

  25. What a beautiful legacy for you and your family. My parents have been married 56 years and my dad's health is not good. The thought of one without the other is too much for me. I know I've been blessed.
