Belated Birthday Pictures!!!

January 24th was Sweet, Sassy and Always Classy's 20th birthday!!! It just seems like yesterday that she was born and now she is a sophomore in college. Where does the time get to? We had quite a day celebrating her birthday. My husband and I drove up to be with her where she goes to college. Our dear friends, Don and Sherian also came to be with us and help celebrate, as did my sister, brother-in-law and my niece. We had a great time making Adelaide feel special on her 20th birthday. Oh, to be 20 again! (I apologize for the delay in getting this post done, but I have had such a hard time getting these pictures posted. I still can't figure out how to get rid of the red-eye, so excuse that. Adelaide does have the most beautiful blue eyes ever! I also had pictures that I could never get turned the right way and I knew you wouldn't want to look at them standing on your head. LOL!! One of these days I am going to learn how to do all this computer stuff. In the meantime, just bear with me.)

Is this not the most gorgeous necklace you have ever seen? The picture does not even do it justice. It is so beautiful!!! It is made out of polymer clay and the colors are amazing. This was Adelaide's favorite gift! Everywhere she wears it, people have a fit over it and want to know where she got it. It goes with so many of her outfits. The necklace is called Viva Beads and you can click on the name to go to their website. You will just love the other necklaces, watches, bracelets and earrings that they have. I want one of every color. I just can't begin to tell you how neat they are. Please check it out. And they are very reasonable.

Adelaide requested a red velvet cake, so I made one for her and decorated it with red sugar sprinkles and candles that said "20"! She loved it.

Here is a closer view of Adelaide wearing her necklace. Doesn't it look pretty? If I may brag on my beautiful daughter, I think she is equally as pretty! And the thing is, she is just as pretty inside as she is outside. She has a wonderful heart for others and a joy for life! She has the most beautiful blue eyes and a big smile!

Our special friends, Don and Sherian, came to be with us and have lunch to celebrate Adelaide's birthday. They are both like second parents to Adelaide and she loves them so much! Sherian is the one who gave Adelaide her beautiful necklace. And for Valentine's day, she gave Adelaide the bracelet that matches the necklace. I had a big button that I put on Adelaide's coat to let people know that it was her birthday. (Aww Mom, do I have to wear it?) We had such an incredible day being with her and sharing in the excitement of her special day. Don't you just love celebrating birthdays? I sure do.

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl, I love you so much!!!!!
I hope this next year is an incredible one for you!
You deserve the very best life has to offer!
Happy 20th!!!!
Love & blessings,MOM

I just wanted to let all of you know about my blogger friend (The Shabby Princess) and Pink Swap Partner's dog, Her Royal Highness Hanna Banana Princess Puffy Cheeks!!!

Hanna Banana is very sick and it doesn't look good for her. I won't go into all the details. Just go to her blog and you can read all about sweet Hanna Banana.

We all love our pets and it breaks our hearts when we read about other people's precious animals. Let's pray for Ally and her dog.

My blogger friend, Odom:Party of 5 just lost her precious Saint Bernard, Cleo.

Our pets are just like our children, aren't they? Please send Ally and Lisa a comment and let them know that you are thinking about them.

Have a blessed day!
PS I've got something going on with my font colors this morning and can't correct it. What else is new? Please overlook it as I don't have time to correct it now. I'm off to celebrate Valentine's Day with my sweet 3 year old pre-school class!!!

Update!

Hey blog friends, I have not dropped off the face of the earth!! Sorry I have not posted in a good while, but I have been so busy recently. My plate has been a bit full, as the old saying goes!! I have tried to comment on your blogs as time permitted, but I have not kept up with my posting. My goal is to get caught up this weekend.

Thanks to Hopsy over at Monograms and Manicures for co-ordinating the Pink Swap. It was so much fun to shop for my partner and pick out some awesome pink items to send her. Below are the items that I sent to my partner Ally at The Shabby Princess. She received a white wicker basket with a pink liner, a plastic container covered with pink hearts with cherry Hershey kisses inside, a pink picture frame, a sequined Valentine heart, a pink candle, pink/green polka dot tissues, pink/green emery board, a note pad with pink lips on it, pink kitchen towel with hearts on it and a pink spatula, beaded heart coasters and a little pink book on how to pamper yourself!!!
I had it packed in a box with everything wrapped in pink heart tissue paper. Then on top of that I had shredded pink paper. With all that pink, it looked very "girlie". I hope Ally liked her stuff!!

These are the cards I made to go with my Pink Swap gifts. I had Princess cards to go on each item that I wrapped up. There was a Princess on the outside of the card and the verse on the inside was this: A princess is what you were meant to be, 'cause being sweet comes naturally!
How appropriate for the Shabby Princess.

The Shabby Princess had my items wrapped up in adorable pink daisy paper. Look at the cute card! My items included parasol picks, 2 jars of body butter(heavenly vanilla and strawberries & champagne), a pink leopard print notepad,pink/green note cards, a diffuser reed set, beautiful pink Essie nailpolish, a lovely pink necklace(it is hard to see on the bottom left side) and watermelon sour patch candies. I love my Pink Swap gifts!!!

Thanks Shabby Princess!!
