I am having the best time this week on my week off! Today I went with 2 of my girlfriends to fabric heaven!!! I'm not kidding. Have you ever seen so much fabric in one place? And this building is really big. These are just sections of the building.
Oh, and guess what? I haven't even told you the best part yet! All this upholstery fabric is $3.00 a yard. I still can't believe that. You heard it right....$3.00 a yard!!!!
Isn't that incredible? And the fabric is not seconds. It if perfect.
They have sheer fabric for window treatments and it is $2.00 a yard!
Believe me, we were all on overload when we walked through the door. My head was spinning from the excitement. And guess what? I didn't even buy anything. I was too overwhelmed.
I do have some furniture that needs to be re-upholstered, so I will go back another day and see if I can find some fabric that would be suitable for my needs. I have some names of men to do the upholstery work, so I will give them a call and make some price comparisons. With fabric this cheap, it makes me want to re-do all my furniture. And believe me, a lot of my things are needing some attention.
We all decided that if you could not find a fabric to suit your needs here, then it could not be found. There was every color and type of fabric you could imagine. Linens, velvets, stripes, plaids, polka dot, tweed, outdoor fabric, etc. etc. And they had a pretty good selection of trims too.
If any of you are in for a road trip to North Carolina, let me know and I can give you more information about this great fabric warehouse. It is incredible!!!

I have a hard time making decisions (because I seem to like everything!) so this would be a little overwhelming for me. I'd be on overload for days, probably even dreaming about the place. It definitely would require a few more trips back.
ReplyDeleteI've got some furniture that is in need of upholstering too but did I mention...it takes me awhile to make a decision!!
I would be overwhelmed too. That's why I've never put wallpaper in my house. I look at the books and am undone! lol! Same with fabric stores.
ReplyDeleteI live in NC. Where is this place? I'd love to go there!
ReplyDeleteOH my gosh. That would be too much fun. I can totally see why you were overwhelmed!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI wonder if that is the same fabric outlet we visited in Burlington. I came home with two stuffed bags of upholstery fabric, even some for lawn furniture. I need to get busy making my pillows!
ReplyDeleteWhere in NC is this fabulous place? I would love to visit it someday!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
Wow!!! Fabric heaven for real! Hope you will share the location. And enjoy your week off.
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness!
ReplyDeleteThat is crazy Good!
$2-3.00 a yard!
Unheard of.
I would hve needed some shock paddels to get my heart started again...
I would have been the one who bought stuff I didn't even need...just thought I might someday!
Hope you have the best week ever!

Sweet Up-North Mornings...
Oh my mom and I would have a wonderful time there! We just love anything fabric (even if I don't always get around to doing anything with it!!). How fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing place! I agree with you....if you couldn't find what you needed there I don't think you'll find it. How fun!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time with your girls on your trip.
I can't wait to hear all about it.
Wow! I would find it hard to make a decision too. So many choices! Do you sew? I don't...sigh!
ReplyDeleteHugs!

Well great minds think alike. I have a great discounted fabric store near me that I was going to do a post about too. I just bought tons of fabric there.
ReplyDeleteSo what did you buy? Anything?
Hugs,
Joanne
We have a similar place here. I once went there to purchase material to recover a sofa and love seat myself! Very labor intensive! I thought my fingers would drop off before I was finished!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your search!
Blessings
