I just wanted to let all of you know about my blogger friend (The Shabby Princess) and Pink Swap Partner's dog, Her Royal Highness Hanna Banana Princess Puffy Cheeks!!!

Hanna Banana is very sick and it doesn't look good for her. I won't go into all the details. Just go to her blog and you can read all about sweet Hanna Banana.

We all love our pets and it breaks our hearts when we read about other people's precious animals. Let's pray for Ally and her dog.

My blogger friend, Odom:Party of 5 just lost her precious Saint Bernard, Cleo.

Our pets are just like our children, aren't they? Please send Ally and Lisa a comment and let them know that you are thinking about them.

Have a blessed day!
PS I've got something going on with my font colors this morning and can't correct it. What else is new? Please overlook it as I don't have time to correct it now. I'm off to celebrate Valentine's Day with my sweet 3 year old pre-school class!!!

  2. Morning M! I was wondering where you were!!lol I never understood people and their pets until I had one of my own and found my dear beagle in our backyard when he passed! Then I understood!!! Valentines and 3yr olds! How adorable is that going to be!!! What a fun way to celebrate; they are just sooo cute at that age (well sometimes!lol) I'm sure you are going to be very very tired at the end of the day though! Enjoy - Sincerely, Jeannette

  3. Our little dog was almost 16 years old when we had to have her put to sleep.
That'll be two years this summer.
She certainly was like one of our kids.....just as loved and just as spoiled. She was an indoor dog and even slept with us, which I never thought I'd allow. We sure miss little Molly.
I will be keeping these families in my thoughts and prayers.

I love that He cares so much about everything that is bothering me.

  6. I stumbled across your blog via one of your daughter's blogs. I think it is absolutely adorable that all three of you blog. I wish that my mom and sister would start blogs as well, but I haven't been able to convince either of them to jump on the bandwagon!

I am a former classroom teacher turned stay-at-home mommy; although I am closer in age to you than to your daughters...LOL! God blessed blessed me with my 2 little miracles on His time frame rather than mine!!!

I hope that you had a wonderful Valentine's Day party with your 3s. My daughter's class (4-year old room) were just beside themselves passing out valentines. Their excitement was chaotic, but contagious!

    Happy Valentine's Day,

    Valerie

  7. While I have never had a desire to have pets (I did have a poodle once but gave her to a good home because she was too high maintenance for me!) I can understand where others feel they are part of their family and feel the loss just as strongly when one passes.

  9. Hello Tales From My Empty Nest. I just wanted to let you know that I made your Inside Out Cake for my BUNCO ladies last night. Since I was the hostess I was responsible for table snacks and the dessert "break". The ladies LOVED your cake and have requested the recipe. May I share with my friends? It certainly was delicious; although we were wondering about the name...is it a "southern" thing? The inside was incrdibly moist and delicious! Love from the Midwest!!!
